India, after emerging victorious against the Australians 2-1 in the recently concluded three-match series, are now set to play one final series against South Africa before the eighth edition of the T20 World Cup which is set to begin next month down under. The three-match series against the Proteas kicks start on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, in Thiruvananthapuram while the remaining games will be hosted by Guwahati and Indore on October 2 and 4 respectively.

The Proteas will be touring Australia after the India series and will still have games under their belt before the start of the T20 WC.
