ODI World Cup 2023, Final, India vs Australia: Stats Preview of Players' Records and Approaching Milestones
Both India and Australia are all set to face each other in their second ODI World Cup Final.
After the completion of 47 games including the two semi-finals, the two best teams of the tournament, India (IND) and Australia (AUS) are ready to contest in the grand finale which is going to take place on November 19, 2023, at the world’s largest stadium in the form of the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium, in Ahmedabad.

Virat Kohli has led from the front with the bat aggregating 711 runs in as many as 10 innings at an average of over 100 while Mohammed Shami picked up 23 wickets in as many as 6 games including three five-fers and a four-wicket haul. Other batters and bowlers too came to the party with crucial contributions when needed. India as a team were brilliant in the entire tournament and would look to continue their dominance in the final.
For Australia, there have been many individuals who have come with scintillating performances in different situations. From losing the first two games and getting placed in the bottom of the table to winning eight consecutive games to reach their eighth World Cup finals within a span of one month sums up Australia’s journey in the tournament.
David Warner has smashed 528 runs in 10 games at a stellar average of 52.80, while Mitchell Marsh and Glenn Maxwell have aggregated 426 and 398 runs, respectively. In the bowling department, Adam Zampa has picked up 22 wickets so far, while pacer Josh Hazlewood has picked up 14 wickets. Determined Aussies will look to carry their winning run and would be keen to stop India’s unbeaten run.
