The race for a playoff spot is heating up as Rajasthan Royals (RR) take on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Match 60 of IPL 2023 on a doubleheader Sunday, May 14. The battle of the ‘Royals’ is scheduled to take place at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. The Bangalore-based franchise defeated RR by seven runs when both sides met earlier in the season at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The Royals have blown hot and cold in this edition as they have played 12 matches so far with six victories and as many defeats. With 12 points and a net run rate of +0.633, they are placed in the fourth position in the table. On the other hand, it is yet another typical league-stage performance from RCB as they have looked inconsistent.

Faf du Plessis’s side has played 11 games so far with just five wins and six losses. With 10 points and a negative NRR of 0.345, they are positioned at the sixth spot in the table. (All standings till Match 57). After qualifying for the top four in the last three successive campaigns, RCB would hope to repeat it again by clinching victories from here on to give their best shot of a spot in the playoff.
