IPL 2024: Stats Review: Kohli's 100th match, 3000 runs for Quinton de Kock and other stats from RCB vs LSG

In match 15 of IPL 2024, RCB lost to LSG by 29 runs. This was the third consecutive home game for RCB, of which they only won the first one. LSG have now won two out of their three matches. 

After being sent in, LSG got off to a great start, mainly due to Quinton de Kock (81 off 56) going at it in the Powerplay and most of the innings. LSG were faltering slightly in the middle, but Nicholas Pooran (40 off 21) boosted LSG's total to 182/5 at the end of 20 overs.

RCB got off to a brisk start, but after losing Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell in the space of 9 balls for just 3 runs, their batting crashed with no hope for recovery. And without their impact player Mahipal Lomror (33 off 13) RCB might have struggled to put up the 153 they eventually folded for. Mayank Yadav (4-0-14-3) showed his class for the second game in a row and rightfully bagged the Player of the Match award.

100 — This was Virat Kohli's 100th T20 match at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. He became the first Indian player to play 100 matches at one particular ground. 

3000 — Quinton de Kock became the 23rd player to score 3000 runs in the IPL, getting there in 99 innings. 

100 — Quinton de Kock played his 100th IPL appearance. 

5 — Getting to 3000 runs in his 99th innings, Quinton de Kock became the 5th fastest player by innings to the landmark.

36 — Nicholas Pooran became the 36th player to hit 100 sixes in the cash-rich league.

11 — KL Rahul became the 11th player to make 50 keeping dismissals during match 15 of the coveted event. 

1 — Mayank Yadav became the first player to be adjudged Player of the Match in each of his first two IPL outings.
