Noor Ahmad also dismissed Mohammad Rizwan for 8 runs.
Babar Azam kept the scoreboard ticking for Pakistan, scoring 74 runs before being dismissed by Noor Ahmad. Iftikhar Ahmed and Shadab Khan put together a 73-run partnership for the sixth wicket. However, both batsmen were dismissed for 40 runs each. Pakistan eventually posted a total of 282 runs for 7 wickets. Noor Ahmad was the pick of the bowlers for Afghanistan, taking three wickets for 49 runs.
In response to Pakistan's 282, Ibrahim Zadran and Rahmanullah Gurbaz put on a solid opening partnership of 130 runs. Shaheen Afridi broke the partnership by dismissing Gurbaz for 65 runs, but Zadran went on to score a half-century (87 runs) before being dismissed by Hasan Ali. Rahmat Shah scored a brilliant 77 runs, and Hashmatullah Shahidi made a valuable contribution of 48 runs which helped Afghanistan beat Pakistan by 8 wickets with six balls remaining.
