Lucknow Super Giants come into the game after a comfortable win over struggling SRH in the third game. Krunal Pandya was the chief architect for LSG in the third game as he rattled the SRH batters with a spell of 3/18 in his four overs. LSG are now placed at the second position in the IPL 2023 points table with 4 points. Kyle Mayers laid the platform for LSG in the first two games with back-to-back half-centuries but couldn't continue the form in the third game. Nicholas Pooran's cameo have been very helpful.
Mark Wood was pick of the bowlers in the first two games, taking 8 wickets at an impressive strike rate of 6. Lucknow will now have a big task ahead going into the fourth game, playing against RCB at Bengaluru. They would look to carry the winning momentum so as to register their first win over RCB in IPL.
Royal Challengers Bangalore, on the other hand, have had a topsy-turvy tournament so far. After an emphatic 8-wicket win over MI in the first game, they were handed a massive 81-runs loss against KKR. Virat Kohli was the stand-out performer with the bat for RCB, as he aggregated 103 runs and has struck at a strike rate of 153.73. RCB lost the pervious game due to poor-batting display as only three batters got off to 20-run mark.
Josh Hazlewood and Wanindu Hasaranga are all set to return to RCB in the upcoming week to strengthen both the departments. They would be looking to bounce back to winning ways and will badly need Glenn Maxwell, who they rely for balance, to step-up in the tournament.
