RR vs DC, IPL 2023: Records and Stats at Barsapara Stadium, Guwahati

The two teams that played the first-ever knock-out game in the history of IPL, Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Delhi Capitals (DC) are all set to face each other in match number 11 of Indian Premier League 2023 on 8^th April 2023 at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.

Rajasthan Royals, come to the contest after having won and lost apiece in the two games they have played so far and are placed fourth in the points table with two points and a healthy NRR of +1.675. In the last game they played in this venue, RR lost by a margin of five runs while chasing a massive target of 198 against PBKS. Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson are the two heavy-weights RR highly rely on as both the batters who scored their respective fifties in the first game, also had a good start in the second game but failed to convert it to big innings.

Yuzvendra Chahal has been their stand-out performer in the bowling department, as he picked up five wickets in two games at a healthy strike rate of 9.6. Dhruv Jurel was pretty impressive on his debut, as he smacked a quick-fire 15-ball 32 that included five boundaries. Shimron Hetmyer and Rayan Parag were also among the runs as they played some good cameos lower down the order. RR might miss the service of Jos Buttler as he suffered an injury while taking a catch in the last game.

Delhi Capitals, on the other hand, had a poor start to their campaign so far, losing both the games they played against the new entrants in the competition. Mitchell Marsh, who was in sublime form just before the IPL, miserably failed to perform in the two games.  David Warner and Anrich Nortje are the only positives as far as DC’s overseas players are concerned. Axar Patel continued his good batting form in the last game as he scored 22 ball-36, but surprisingly did not bowl a single over in the game. DC would be seeking improved performances in both departments so as to bounce back into the winning ways.

Both RR and DC have met on 26 occasions and it is even-steven, with both teams winning 13 games and losing 13 games.
