Stats: Mayank Yadav becomes fourth Indian bowler to take wicket on first ball of T20I innings
Mayank wasted no time in getting off the mark in the third and final T20I of the series against Bangladesh.
In a 20-over game where a total of 461 runs were scored, it would be hard to get to terms with the fact that a lot of wickets would have fallen across the two innings. A statistic which might be a bit perplexing to digest would be a bowler picking up a wicket on the very first delivery of the innings. However, this was exactly what Delhi-born speedster, Mayank Yadav, managed to pull off during the third T20I between India and Bangladesh in Hyderabad.
Having been bestowed with the opportunity of bowling with the brand new ball after being brought on at a latter stage in the first two games, Mayank struck immediately. A rocketing short delivery caught Parvez Hossain Emon off guard, as all he could do was stick the bat in front of his face to avoid getting rattled. The only thing he managed to do was spoon an easy catch to Riyan Parag at first slip.
Mayank became just the fourth Indian bowler to pick up a wicket on the first delivery of the opposition's innings as far as T20Is are concerned. Let's have a look at the other bowlers to do so:
