Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza were blessed with a baby boy on Tuesday as the former confirmed the same on his official Twitter handle. They had made the delighting news public in a unique way on the social media and since then, there was a lot of buzz about the same. Even the nationality of the baby was questioned by many but both the celebrities always maintained the same stance.
There was a feeling that the news was around the corner as Shoaib pulled out of the first T20I against Australia at the last moment. However, he played the remaining two matches performing exceedingly well especially on the field.
Soon after the series ended, the cricketer joined his family and the good news was made public by him through his official Twitter handle to let his fans and followers know. “Excited to announce: Its a boy, and my girl is doing great and keeping strong as usual #Alhumdulilah. Thank you for the wishes and Duas, we are humbled #BabyMirzaMalik,’ his tweet read.

Sania had done various interviews during her pregnancy period and answered a few weird questions as the media kept on asking her about the nationality of the child. She was also asked about what the baby will become – a Tennis Star or a cricketer – to which she had time and again cleared that it will be the baby’s choice totally.
Even Malik had come up with some cheeky responses when he was asked by one of the reporters regarding the same. Sania, the Indian Tennis Star, even went on to say once that she didn’t marry the Pakistan cricketer to unite India and Pakistan or to better their relations.
Most of the Pakistani cricketers were delighted to know about the good news as they congratulated the couple on becoming the parents.
