Cricketers who married celebrities – The power couples: In the modern era, not just Bollywood actors but even cricketers have earned themselves the status of being celebrities. And when it comes to love, even cricketers cannot escape their destiny. This has been long going and a volatile chemistry. Cricketers have been linked up with celebrities from the time of Tiger Pataudi and Sharmila Tagore, but very few have confirmed their relations by getting into holy matrimony. Mohsin Khan and Reena Roy: (source) The Pakistani cricketer married Bollywood actress Reena Roy creating a lot of buzz in the 1980s. The two started dating initially which grabbed a lot of media attention until they finally tied the knot. They settled in Karachi, Pakistan until Mohsin retired as a cricketer and they moved to Mumbai. Mohsin tried his luck in Bollywood while Reena continued to live as a housewife and mother of their daughter ‘Jannat’. Unfortunately, the lovers separated due to irreconcilable marital conflicts. 2. Mohammad Azharuddin and Sangeeta Bijlani: (source) These two met during a shoot for a TV commercial in 1994. They continued meeting on flights and functions and their extra-marital affair was the talk of the town. The cricketer divorced his first wife Naureen to marry the former Bollywood actress in 1996. The couple stayed together for 14 years and have two sons together but ultimately got separated in 2010 after rumors emerged about the Azharuddin was dating badminton player Jwala Gutta. 3. They are the parents of Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan and Soha Ali Khan. This love story has a happy ending as they spent life together for 32 years till the nawab’s death in 2011. 4. Imran Khan and Jemima Goldsmith: (source) The former Pakistani all rounder’s first marriage was with the famous journalist and heiress, which lasted for nine years. These two got married in 1995 in an elaborate ceremony and the couple has two sons, Qasim and Sulaiman together. Their marriage ended in 2004 because it was difficult for Jemima to adjust with life in Pakistan. 5. This time, it was with Rehem Khan, a well-known BBC broadcast journalist whom he married at his hilltop villa in Pakistan in January this year even though his family disapproved of it. But looks like things are even more on the downside now as they have filed for divorce after only 10 months of matrimony. Rehem revealed that the reason behind the separation was the fact that everyone in Pakistan got involved in her private affairs. 6. Shane Watson and Lee Furlong: Shane Watson and Lee Furlong. They threw an extravagant reception party in the national capital, which had attendance from MS Dhoni to the Prime Minister of India. 9.
