He died overnight following a two-year battle with cancer The entire cricketing fraternity mourned the death of the cheerful gentleman who made a reputation for himself not just only as a cricketer but also as an Australian Rules footballer and an architect.

Former and present cricketers Jason Gillespie, Darren Lehmann, Peter Siddle, Ian Botham, David Warner and Steven Smith offered condolences to the former cricketer fondly known as ‘Tangles.’
