Many prominent personalities including cricketers took it to social media to wish their fans– ‘Eid Mubarak’. Eid al-Adha, observed on the tenth day of the last Islamic month of Dhu al-Hijjah, is the second of the two Eids which are celebrated by Muslim families all across the globe.
On the occasion, many cricketers including Danish Kaneria, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Hafeez and Washington Sundar shared wishes on Twitter. Pakistan cricket team, however, had to face the wrath of fans for not maintaining social distance while celebrating the occasion.
Pakistan Cricket shared photos of the national side being involved in celebrations ahead of their much-awaited series against England. But many fans bashed the players for not abiding by the COVID-19 pandemic norms. Several fans questioned the absence of masks and social distancing in the celebratory pictures.
