The cricketing trends on the social media revolved around a number of events. Indian captain Virat Kohli celebrated his 30th birthday today and wishes have poured in for the Delhi-born cricketer. A number of personalities from the cricketing fraternity wished the seasoned campaigner including former Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar and former Indian captain and current CAB president Sourav Ganguly.

Yesterday, Pakistan defeated New Zealand in Dubai and clean swept the three-match T20I series in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Leg-spin bowler Shadab Khan expressed his gratitude to the team for becoming an integral member of Pakistan. All-round cricketer Aamer Yamin also congratulated Sarfraz Ahmed and Co for their resounding show in the 20-overs fixtures. Hasan Ali is excited to use his new boots.

Off-break bowler Harbhajan Singh posted a picture where he was seen going on a road trip from Delhi to Agra in Uttar Pradesh. The opening Test between Sri Lanka and England is scheduled to get underway tomorrow in Galle. However, the weather is gloomy and former cricketer Matt Prior hoped for the weather to clear at the earliest and wished for rain to not play spoilsport.

Lanka batsman Dimuth Karunaratne posted his picture in a ‘candid’ pose before the match. Gautam Gambhir doesn’t wish to captain Delhi and wishes for the youngsters to take over. After getting sidelined from the Test squad, Karun Nair has already started training and he posted a video of the same.
