Cricketing Trends on Social Media today

The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. Virat Kohli, the Indian captain, posted a picture where he can be seen  listening to music on his headphones. On the very day in 2002, India and England were involved in a jaw-dropping final at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. After Nasser Hussain’s Three Lions posted 325 for the loss of five wickets in their innings, Sourav Ganguly’s Men in Blue found themselves in dire straits, losing five wickets in no time. However, Yuvraj Singh and Mohammad Kaif’s partnership of 121 runs took India over the line by a couple of wickets and three balls to spare.

Even as Yuvraj got out to Paul Collingwood after scoring 69, Kaif stayed unbeaten on 87 off 75 with six fours and a couple of sixes. The latter also went on to become the Player of the Match. On the special day, both Yuvraj and Kaif posted pictures where they can be seen, lifting the ODI trophy along with Ganguly, their captain. Harmanpreet Kaur, the Indian women’s cricketer, posted a stylish picture of her on Instagram. She last played in the women’s T20 World Cup earlier this year.

KL Rahul, the Indian batsman, was a tad sad after not being able to play cricket. Veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan was diagnosed with COVID-19 and wishes poured in for him from every nook and corner of the country. Suresh Raina also took to Instagram to wish him a speedy recovery from the deadly virus. Manoj Tiwary wished legendary Bengal cricketer Utpal Chatterjee on birthday. Kedar Jadhav had some happy moments with his daughter.
