Cricketing Trends on Social Media today
Here is how the cricketers spent their day on Twitter and Instagram today.
The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. The Indian team has left for the United States of America (USA) for their tour of the West Indies. The first two T20Is will be played in Lauderhill, Florida. Prior to that, Virat Kohli, the Men in Blue’s skipper, attended a pre-departure press conference. Before leaving, Kohli posted a picture along with a few members of the national team. Shikhar Dhawan uploaded a photo along with his partner and Hit-Man Rohit Sharma.
KL Rahul shared a stylish picture where he can be seen posing with grace. Meanwhile, Suresh Raina, the discarded Indian batter, is working hard to make a comeback. Former Indian batsman Gautam Gambhir uplaoded a heartfelt picture along with one of his daughters and called it a fan-moment. Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is enjoying his time with his family after taking a break from the ODI series against Sri Lanka. The southpaw posted an adorable photo along with his daughter Alaina.
On July 28, the Lankans beat Bangladesh in the second ODI at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo by seven wickets. Subsequently, the Islanders took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Angelo Mathews, who himself remained unbeaten on 52, lauded the likes of Kusal Perera, Kusal Mendis and Avishka Fernando for the decent shows.
The third and final ODI is scheduled to played on July 31 and former cricketer Russell Arnold suggested a couple of changes in the lineup. Shahid Afridi scored a thunderous 81* off 40 balls for the Brampton Wolves in the Global Canada T20 and he believes that the Tiger in him is still alive. He was the Player of the Match against the Edmonton Royals.
