Cricketing Trends on social media today
Harbhajan Singh has asked everyone to stay safe, as India recorded more than one lakh corona cases on 4th April 2021.
The biggest talking point on social media today was the way Fakhar Zaman was dismissed against South Africa. Zaman was well on course for his second ODI double century but was apparently distracted by Quinton De Kock’s gestures from behind the stumps. De Kock had given the impression to Zaman that the fielder was going to throw the ball to the bowler’s end.
So, Zaman slowed down. But, to his utter shock, the fielder threw the ball to De Kock at the wicket keeper’s end, and Zaman was caught short of his crease. The Proteas beat Pakistan by 17 runs in the second ODI to level the three-match ODI series 1-1. And now, a few cricketers have offered their opinion on the nature of Fakhar Zaman’s dismissal.
Meanwhile, David Miller is off to India to join the Rajasthan Royals’ squad ahead of the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
