#10 Sunil Narine

The influence of the West Indian players has been huge ever the inception of IPL. One of the major contributors from the Carribean has been the mystery spinner – Sunil Narine. He was picked up by Kolkata Knight Riders in 2012 and has been a permanent member of the line-up since then.

Impact

Narine was an unknown commodity in his initial season and not too many had seen what he was capable of doing. With so many variations in bowling with minimal changes in action, he troubled every batsman and picked up 24 wickets as his side became the champion.

He was once again amongst the wickets in the season that followed. In 2014, KKR won its second title and Narine played a key role by picking up 21 wickets and ended up as the second highest wicket-taker of the league. In the 10th season, he showcased the other aspect of his game as he opened the batting for KKR and went after bowling from the outset and struck the fastest fifty of IPL off just 15 balls.
