#9 Bhuvneshwar Kumar
After his impressive showing in the domestic season, he earned a contract with Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2009. Later, in 2011, he moved to play for Pune Warriors India and after the dissolution of the franchise was picked up by Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2014 and has been a prominent member of the side since then.
Impact
The fast bowler was a gentle medium pacer who could swing the ball both ways in the first few seasons of IPL. He wasn’t that effective earlier but came to the fore in 2014 while playing for SRH. He bagged 20 wickets in 14 matches and was the leading wicket-taker for his side and the third overall.
His best performance came in the 9th season where he claimed 23 wickets and won the Purple Cap and played a vital role in his team conquering the IPL title for the first time. In the season that followed, he once again bagged the Purple Cap with 26 and became the only player to achieve the feat consecutively. He is currently 6th in the list of leading wicket-takers of all time in IPL.
