CT 2017: Support for Team India to get louder as DPS Megacity School kids fly to England
The kids are ecstatic to cheer for India in their match against Sri Lanka on June 8
The Champions Trophy fever has gripped the country. The bugle for India’s first match will be blown on June 4 at Birmingham. Watching these prestigious matches from close quarters is a lifetime experience. The DPS Megacity School, Kolkata authorities also agree to this point. Much to the hysteric excitement of the school kids, they have picked up 24 of them to experience the thrill of watching a Champions Trophy match in England. Accompanying the students are 2 teachers and 5 guides.
The group which had 6 girls and 18 boys left for London today at 3.30 am in the wee hours of the morning. As the flight was from Mumbai, the team had to fly there from Kolkata. Though they will be a bit upset for missing the epic clash between India and Pakistan, the encounter with Sri Lanka can make amends for it.
It is an educational tour apart from a cricket tour. In their itinerary, are places like London Eye, Cadbury World, The Buckingham Palace, Change of Guard and a host of other places. As it can be a learning curve for the students, the school authorities have also promised a visit to the hallowed and prestigious Oxford University.
Cheering for team India will indeed be a glorious moment for the kids. The concept of the tour is “For India, From India.”
