CT IPL Flashback: Top 5 hat-tricks over 9 seasons
1. Amit Mishra (SRH vs PWI in 2013)
It was the third occasion when the leg-spinner bagged a hat-trick. Playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad against Pune Warriors India, he bowled a wonderful spell that helped them defend a modest total of 120 runs in Pune. Three wickets were remaining in the Pune innings and 12 runs were needed with 9 balls in hand and Mishra removed all three to give his side the victory. It was the 11th hat-trick in the league overall.
It was Bhuvneshwar Kumar first who was trapped in front of the stumps off a flipper from Mishra and the umpire raised his finger. Next to go was Rahul Sharma who played an ugly heave to a flighted one and missed it altogether and the ball sneaked through to hit the stumps. Ashok Dinda was the last to be picked up off a beautiful googly that got the off stump as SRH pulled off a stunning victory.
