David Warner is considered to one of the chief conspirators in the ball tampering scandal in the third Test of the Test series in South Africa. The Australian vice-captain was banned for 1 year along with the captain Steve Smith who got the same punishment for masterminding the conspiracy. Young Cameron Bancroft, who at their directions was caught tampering on TV, was given a 9-month ban.

Warner plays air cricket

All three of them have been banned from playing any form of cricket, at the international as well as domestic level though they are allowed to play club cricket. This makes like difficult for someone who has dedicated his whole life to the game. Old habits die hard, and it seemed to show whe Warner was spotted swinging an imaginary bat while walking in Sydney almost playing air cricket.

According to the DailyMail, Warner and his family were on their way to dance class of Ivy Mae and Indi Rae. He will have to learn to live without cricket because there is still a lot of time to go before his ban period gets over.

Suffered a lot

According to the reports, David Warner was involved in discussions in the lunch break in the third Test where they conspired to tamper the ball. The left-handed opening batsman had earlier apologized for his mistake in a press conference. Warner was criticised by media as he refused to answer the questions about how the team conspired to tamper the ball using a sand paper.

This whole episode brought a lot of shame to Australian cricket, while Warner and Smith were left with their reputation badly hurt. The two star batsmen suffered monetary heavy monetary losses too. Steve Smith and David Warner got 2 million and 1.4 million dollars per year contract from Cricket Australia.

Now, neither of the two will get the money from these contracts as they serve their long bans and their individual endorsements have also taken a hit. The duo also missed out on the lucrative contracts from IPL as they were banned from participating in the cricket’s richest league this year.
