David Warner is not the favourite cricketer of his daughter Ivy Mae
Candice Warner, his wife, revealed the news.
Australian batsman David Warner is known to share a special camaraderie with both his daughters during the free time he gets from cricket. His frequent posts on social media with his children are adorable and are loved by his fans as well. Though it is also natural that both the girls Ivy Mae and Indi Rae love cricket to watch given the fact their father is a renowned batsman. However, in a surprising revelation, Warner is not the favourite cricketer of his elder daughter Ivy Mae.
The left-handed swashbuckling opener of Australia is currently involved in the high-intensity Ashes series which his team is leading by 2-0. But Warner himself is going through a lean patch and only has a solitary fifty-plus score in four innings so far. England bowlers have worked him out nicely and have dismissed him cheaply. He has also not been allowed to score many runs freely which has worked against him. Though he would love to smash a century in Perth and help his side regain the urn in the third Test itself.
Who is her favourite cricketer?
Candice Warner, the wife of David Warner, revealed that their daughter Ivy Mae aspires to become a fast bowler and her favourite cricketer is Mitchell Starc. “She loves daddy but her favourite cricketer is Starcy [Mitchell Starc]. She wants to be a bowler,” Candice told the Saturday Telegraph. Starc is a fierce left-arm bowler and clicks more than 150 kph frequently while bowling creating the fear in the minds of the batsmen.
She also informed that Ivy Mae will be present cheering for her favourite cricketer in Sydney during the fifth Test match of Ashes. The match will commence on January 4 and also mark the 10th anniversary of McGrath Foundation’s Pink Test. It would be interesting to see if the series stays alive until then just to spice up the contest even further.
