Debutant Kagiso Rabada’s hat-trick ensures a cruising victory for the Proteas, Bangladesh v South Africa 1st ODI- Statistical Review: After being beaten in the T20 series, the Bangladeshi side looked to put back some fight to ensure getting back into winning ways in the first ODI against South Africa but as it happened, in the rain intervened match, Bangladesh suffered yet another tormenting defeat. In the 40-over a side match, Bangladesh was bundled for a total of 160 runs on the board, courtesy Kagiso Rabada who made a sound debut in the international cricket by striking in a hat-trick and also clinching 6 wickets for the Proteas. In reply, South Africa attained the target with sheer comfort and won the match quite comprehensively by 8 wickets. Let us take a glance at the statistical aspects of the match.

  • It was Mortaza’s 8th loss as the captain of Bangladesh team in 23 matches. He has won 15 of those.
