Delhi player hits a double ton in a T20 match
Mohit Alhawat from Delhi scored a triple century in a T20 match two weeks ago and now we see a double ton from another Delhi player. Shivam Singh who hit 210 runs in just 71 deliveries makes the headline today. Mohit scored 300 runs in almost same number of deliveries made it to the standbys of the Delhi squad for the Vijay Hazare trophy. But the ground where Mohit scored all those runs was merely 25 yards which took away all the impact he created at first.
Shivam Singh on February the 19th, while playing for a local club Gemstar Rockets in a quarter-final of 1st JB Sports Mix Corporate Cricket Tournament, assassinated the opposition with his killer performance. He was playing against United XI and the opposition was all out on a mere 109.
He scored all those runs while hitting them for eighteen fours and humongous 19 sixes. However, he did it on a much bigger ground. This ground at Bandhwari has a boundary of 65 yards. He hit the runs at a strike rate of 295 which is unbelievable.
When asked about the double ton Shivam said that he was awaiting such an innings and is relieved and happy upon actually doing it. “I was waiting for a knock like this and I am really happy to have scored a double ton,” Shivam said while talking to Sportswallah.

If we compare the innings of the two players we can understand that Shivam scored those runs in a proper cricket ground with much larger boundaries. While Mohit had a much lesser boundary distance to deal with.
Singh also made a point that had he achieved this feat some ten days ago then he might have got a chance to feature for the Delhi side which bosts of the likes of Ashish Nehra, Gautam Gambhir.
