Did Anushka Sharma take a jibe at Rohit Sharma for unfollowing her on Instagram?

Ever since India’s World Cup exit at the hands of New Zealand in Manchester, there has been a lot of commotion surrounding the atmosphere in the Indian dressing room. It was learned that there was a rift going on between Indian captain Virat Kohli and limited-overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma. Rumours surrounding the same aren’t something new and have emerged even before.

The speculations also led to the chances that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) might opt for split captaincy. But for the time being, Kohli has been persisted with for the upcoming tour of the West Indies, which gets underway next month with the three-match T20I series. Regarding Kohli and Rohit’s souring relationship, a source earlier cited the same as ‘absolute nonsense’.

Reportedly, Rohit unfollows both Virat and Anushka on Instagram

Even bowling coach Bharat Arun reckons that the duo gets along well as Rohit often goes to Virat in order to discuss things. He also said that the spirit in the camp has been wonderful and collective decisions are being taken. In the meantime, another incident has come to the fore. Rohit has reportedly unfollowed Anushka Sharma, Virat’s better-half on Instagram.

The development has undoubtedly added fuel to fire in Rohit and Virat’s rift. Earlier, Rohit even unfollowed Virat on Instagram and ever since the rumours are doing the rounds. Both played crucial roles in the World Cup. Even as Rohit became the first batter with as many as five tons in a single World Cup edition, Virat also did his bit by scoring quite a few half-centuries.

Meanwhile, Virat and Anushka haven’t unfollowed Rohit from the social media platform. Also, as per some reports, Kohli and Rohit haven’t spoken to each other since the mega event in England and Wales. After all the chaos, Anushka, also a Bollywood actress, posted a message on Instagram, which seemed to have been directed at the 32-year-old Rohit for unfollowing her.

On her Instagram story, probably taking an indirect jibe at Rohit, she wrote, “A wise man once said nothing. Only truth can shake hands with silence in a mess of false appearances…”
