ECB unveils England Cricket Team’s new ODI kit

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) unveiled their new ODI kit, days after rolling out their new Test kit for their ongoing World Test Championship cycle. The high-performance training line of sportswear for all of England’s national teams – including Women, Disability, Pathway, and Men – was released as part of the ECB’s long-term cooperation with Castore.

The three lions are featured prominently on the custom blue colored jersey, which will be donned by the England men’s and women’s teams in their upcoming One-Day International matches. Castore worked closely with key players from the men’s, women’s, and disability teams to develop a kit that is tailored to the demands of an elite-level cricketer, using carefully selected materials and Castore’s unique fabrication processes.

This outfit uses materials that Castore has utilized in their top level of sportswear to improve the performance and ease of movement of the players.  England fans will also be able to buy the Pro-Kit used by the players in the match.

England men’s and women’s team start their summer schedule from June

The forthcoming itinerary for the England men’s squad includes a Test series against New Zealand, followed by an ODI series in the Netherlands. They will then play India in one Test, which was postponed last year, before proceeding with the T20I and ODI series. To round up the cycle, they will welcome South Africa for a three-match ODI series. England will also compete in the T20 World Cup, which will be held in Australia this year.

The women’s team’s international schedule begins in late June as they host the Proteas for a one-off Test, followed by a three-match ODI series, and as many T20Is. They will then participate in the Commonwealth Games 2022, and then host the Indian team for three T20Is and as many ODIs.

The ECB has witnessed a Tsunami of changes in its setup. After Rob Key was appointed as the Managing Director, Ben Stokes was named the new Test Captain with Joe Root stepping down from the role. And ever since the Ashes defeat, ECB was in search of new head coaches, separate for the red-ball and white-ball formats. Their search came to an end when ECB unveiled Brendon McCullum in charge of the Test team on Thursday while they are still on the lookout for a white-ball coach.
