The closing ceremony took place at 5 PM ahead of the final between CSK and SRH.
The eleventh edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) came to an end with the comeback franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) famously winning the title for the third time. This season was the most competitive compared to the previous years with many matches going right down to the wire. Also, it was the first time in the history of IPL that all the eight teams managed to win at least 5 matches in the league stage. However, a glittering closing ceremony also took place saw the Bollywood celebrities sizzling the stage with their performances.
The ceremony held at the Wankhede Stadium ahead of the final between CSK and SRH at 5 PM and was aired live on Star Plus. The likes of Kriti Sanon, Katrina Kaif, Elli AvrRam, Karthik Aryan along with many Bollywood superstars flaunted their skills on the stage as the T20 extravaganza of the Indian cricket was coming to an end after a long haul of almost 50 days.
Lee also flaunts his dancing skills
While the performances of the actors and actresses were absolutely superb which was enjoyed by the crowd as well, Brett Lee and Irfan Pathan also had some great fun with Elli AvrRam. During the ceremony, she was seen teaching dancing steps to the former Australian cricketer who loves the Indian tradition and also left everyone in awe of him with his skills. However, the most entertaining part of the evening was Irfan tapping the feet on Salman Khan’s famous song ‘Hud Hud Dabangg.’
Elli AvrRam posted the pictures of all the fun they had during the closing ceremony on Twitter and was very happy after spending time with them. “It was so much fun with these two super cool cricketers who did a great job on the dance floor @BrettLee_58 & @IrfanPathan @StarPlus #IPL2018Finale,” she wrote in her tweet.
