Liam Livingstone became the first England player to hit a T20I century at home.
Cricket fans witnessed a run-fest at Nottingham in the first T20I between England and Pakistan. The visitors made a strong comeback in the shortest format after losing the ODI series. Pakistan posted a big total of 232/6 batting first. Captain Babar Azam and wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan played brilliant knocks for them. In response, Liam Livingstone smashed a marvellous century for the hosts but it was not enough for the win. They were all-out for 201 runs in 19.2 overs, with Pakistan registering a 31-run win.

17 – Liam Livingstone completed his half-century in 17 balls in this game. This is the fastest T20I fifty for England surpassing Eoin Morgan’s record (21 balls).
42 – Livingstone also smashed the fastest T20I hundred for England (42 balls). The earlier record belonged to Dawid Malan who struck a 48-ball ton against New Zealand in 2019.
232 – Pakistan’s score of 232/6 in this match was their highest ever innings total in the shortest format. They earlier scored 205 runs in two different T20Is against West Indies and South Africa in 2018 and 2021 respectively.
433 – A total of 433 runs were made in this T20I match. This is the second-highest match aggregate in a T20I in England.
1 – Liam Livingstone became the first player to hit a T20I century against Pakistan. The earlier highest score was recorded by Solomon Mire (94) in 2018.
1 – Livingstone also became the first England player to hit a T20I century at home. The other two England players Alex Hales and Dawid Malan smashed their hundreds in Bangladesh and New Zealand respectively.

1030 – Overall in international cricket in 2021, Rizwan has scored 1030 runs. He became the second player after Joe Root (1030) to complete 1000 runs this year.
502 – As a wicketkeeper, Rizwan has scored 502 T20I runs this year. He became the second player to score 500+ runs as a wicketkeeper in a calendar year after Mohammad Shahzad (520 in 2016).
85 – Babar Azam’s score of 85 was the third-highest T20I score by a captain in England. Only Steve Smith (90) and Chris Gayle (88) have scored more than the Pakistan skipper.
2120 – Babar Azam has now aggregated 2120 T20I runs after 53 innings. He is at the top spot in this regard, with Virat Kohli (1983) on the second position.
