Pakistan has been always a team of highly unpredictable outcomes. They have surprised both with their wins and losses. There have been times when they lost after getting set for the win and won after almost going into the mouth of defeat.

This nature of the Pakistan team has at times surprised their teammates and they have believed at times that you can’t predict a loss or a win for Pakistan against any opponent. A famous cricketer once said for Pakistan that they can lose from whoever they want and win from whoever they want.

Sohail Tanvir has also put forward his views on the unpredictability of the Asian nation. He has rather cautioned the English outfit about the unpredictability of the Pakistan team saying they can surprise with anything on their giving day. A player of 119 white-ball matches, Sohail Tanvir has been pushing for an international comeback off late.

It’s going to be a very exciting series: Sohail Tanvir

Tanvir mentioned that while the Pakistan team is unpredictable he is still not writing them off. He believes Pakistan can play exciting cricket on any given day.

“Pakistan can surprise, we all know that. One day they can be great and the next day not so great, but the unpredictability makes them more dangerous. I’m not writing Pakistan off. Yes, England has played good cricket since the first Test against West Indies [which they lost in Southampton], especially in the bowling department they look strong,” he said as quoted by Outlook.

Tanvir pinned hopes on youngsters to come good for the team. He also felt satisfied with the team’s bowling unit.“But having said that, Pakistan also has good youngsters and bowling-wise I’m not worried. But they will need the batsmen to support the bowlers,” he believed.

Pakistan all-rounder also insisted on Pakistan having a good chance to perform well even if England has the edge at present. “If they can do that I think it will be a good competition. England has the edge because they are at home and have already played three Test matches, but Pakistan also has a chance. It’s going to be a very interesting Test match series,” he said.

Sohail also had good words for Naseem Shah whom he things would threaten the English outfit with the swinging ball. “Naseem Shah has shown he’s very good with the red ball and I think he will be more threatening with the ball swinging around in England. He’s got pace and he can swing the ball both ways, he’s young and can bowl long spells,” he believed.

He pinned hopes on the young pace attack consisting of Naseem and Shaheen. “Shaheen Afridi is now an established cricketer and his confidence is very high because he’s been performing well since the World Cup. Naseem and Shaheen are going to be increasingly threatening bowlers in Test cricket,” he said.
