England v Pakistan 2nd ODI – Statistical Highlights
England increased the ODI series lead to 2-0 following a 4-wicket win at Lord’s. Pakistan recovered due to Sarfraz Ahmed’s century after a disastrous start. Chasing 252 to win, England lost 6 wickets but chased down with 15 balls to spare. Joe Root scored his 4th consecutive ODI fifty while Eoin Morgan ended his fifty less streak. 1 – For the first time in ODI history fifty run stands have been recorded for 4th, 5th and 6th wickets after the team losing its first 3 wickets for less than 10 runs. India had fifty stands for 4th and 5th wickets vs Zimbabwe at Adelaide in 2004.
1 – Collective runs scored by Pakistan’s top three in this game, the fewest by any team against England in ODIs. Sri Lanka’s top three scores 3 runs in 2009 at Johannesburg against England.
2 – Score at which Sarfraz Ahmed came out to bat at No.5 and scored a century, the lowest in ODI cricket, Previous lowest was 5/3 by Yuvraj Singh against South Africa in 2005.
2 – Score at which Pakistan lost their 3rd wicket, the lowest for any team against England. Bangladesh were 5/3 in 2004 vs England.

3 – Sarfraz Ahmed became the 3rd wicket-keeper to score a century in ODIs at Lord’s. Kumar Sangakkara and Jos Buttler scored in the same game in 2014.
3 – Number of times Pakistan lost their 3rd wicket for 3 or lesser runs. Bangladesh is the only other team to record such instances more than once.
4 – Joe Root now has 4 consecutive fifty-plus scores in ODIs. Alex Hales was the last England player to score 4 or more consecutive fifties in ODI. He scored 5 consecutive fifties vs SA in Jan, 2016.
10 – England now has won 10 out of their last 11 ODIs vs Pakistan including 5 in a row.
12 – Number of ODI innings Eoin Morgan played before this game without a fifty. His last ODI fifty also came vs Pakistan in Nov, 2015.
74 – Sarfraz Ahmed became the first Pakistani keeper to score a century in ODIs in England. Kamran Akmal’s 74 vs England in 2010 at Leeds was the previous best.
88 – Sarfraz Ahmed became the first Pakistani player to score a century in ODIs at Lord’s. Mohammad Yousuf scored 88 vs Australia in 2004, which was the previous best.
2011 – Last time England’s opening bowlers picked up 3 wickets each in the same ODI was in 2011 vs Australia at Hobart.
