Eoin Morgan pays visit to Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque with his wife in traditional attire
Morgan decided to pay a visit to the holy place before his departure to England.
On Tuesday, Kolkata Knight Riders lost their chance to qualify for the playoffs after Sunrisers Hyderabad thumped table-toppers Mumbai Indians by 10 wickets. The match was played at the iconic Sharjah Cricket Stadium. With this win, the orange army booked the fourth spot thanks to a better net run rate.
Positioned at fifth, the purple and gold outfit KKR had done well. The franchise could manage to win seven matches out of 14 in the league stage. Albeit, the season might have not concluded in their favour, the team management must be ecstatic as the players bounced back hard against Rajasthan Royals in their last league match.
Surprisingly, Eoin Morgan was handed the team’s captaincy midway through the tournament. In seven games, the England captain led KKR to three wins. He also scored a 35-ball 68* runs knock against Rajasthan Royals in the do-or-die clash. Eventually, the in-form skipper powered his side to an impressive 60-run win.
