It turns out that after the news spread and Amit Mishra became aware of the incident, he was seemingly furious with the media outlets that reported the alleged case so hastily. Upon learning of the situation, the Indian leg-spinner took to social media to clarify matters.
In a rather surprising revelation, Mishra refuted the news and the claims regarding domestic violence and dowry harassment against him and his family members.

Mishra expressed his disappointment with how the news was circulated. In fact, in a mind-boggling twist, it was found that while the news might be correct, the individual involved was not the Indian cricketer. Mishra revealed that although the report may be accurate, he was not the person involved and that his image had been wrongly used to spread the story.
Furthermore, he also warned the media fraternity to stop peddling such unrelated stories about him, or he would be forced to take legal action to put an end to the rumours.

"I’m extremely disappointed by what’s being circulated in the media. I’ve always respected the press, but while the news itself may be accurate, the photograph used is mine, which is completely incorrect. Using my image for unrelated stories must stop immediately, or I will be forced to take legal action," Mishra wrote on his 'x' handle.
Meanwhile, speaking of Amit Mishra, the Indian cricketer was also part of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He last played for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) franchise. However, in the ongoing IPL 2025 season, the leg spinner is not a part of the team.
