Hasan Ali had a pretty torrid time in the 2019 edition of the World Cup in England and Wales. The right-arm speedster could only end up playing four matches in which he picked up a couple of wickets. He lost his place in the national team after he gave away 84 runs in the match against India at the Old Trafford in Manchester. But in his personal life, he has every reason to cheer.

He is set to tie the knots with Shamia Arzoo, an Indian girl, who hails from the Mewat district of Haryana. The wedding is expected to take centre stage in Dubai on August 20 and the auspicious occasion will take place at Atlantis Palm Hotel. 10 of the family members will be leaving for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on August 17 and it was informed by Shamia’s father Liaquat Ali.

Shamia’s has a B. Tech (Aeronautical) degree from Manav Rachna University and is currently working as a flight engineer in Emirates Airlines. Her father is a former Block Development and Panchayat Officer. The 25-year-old Hasan won’t be the first cricketer with an Indian wife. Previously the likes of Zaheer Abbas and Mohsin Khan also entered the wedlock with Indian women.

Current Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik is also married to India tennis star Sania Mirza ever since 2010. The duo also has a baby boy by the name of Izhan Mirza Malik. Meanwhile, Hasan posted about the news on social media and said that an official announcement would be made very soon.

He took to Twitter and wrote, “just wanna clarify my wedding is not confirmed yet, our families have yet to meet and decide upon it. will make a public announcement very soon in sha allah. #gettingreadyforfamilymeetup,”

After the wonderful development, Faheem Ashraf, who has played a lot of cricket with Hasan, couldn’t hold on to his excitement. The all-rounder is worried about his Dubai visa getting approved. He replied and wrote, “sada visa (my visa) with a crying emoji”. He also tagged Shadab Khan, who is currently playing the Global T20 Canada for Edmonton Royals, in his post.

After seeing Ashraf panic, Hasan had a funny reply in store. He asked Faheem to pray for things to get settled at first. “Oyeee phly dua kr Han ho jaye (first let the marriage get confirmed)”
