Fans ask Shahid Afridi about his age and phone number; veteran reverts hilariously
Despite not playing cricket, Afridi has managed to hog the limelight.
Shahid Afridi, the former Pakistan cricket, has had a rough time in the last few months. He has been helping the needy out through his foundation amidst the coronavirus pandemic. Even the likes of Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh came forward and helped him out in the tough times. However, even as he lent his helping, Afridi fell prey to the wrath of the ungodly COVID-19 virus.
Nevertheless, he managed to recover, much to the relief of his fans and well-wishers. Recently, he decided to interact with his supporters on the social media platform. He conducted a Question and Answer session and bearing in mind his popularity, he was showered with plenty of questions.
In the meantime, one of the users on Twitter came up with a tricky question, asking the Khyber Agency-born his age. The fan asked Afridi and wrote, “Your Age”
However, Afridi had a witty reply in store for the question. Afridi replied the fan and wrote, “Age is just a number my friend,”

Thereafter, another fan turned up with another request. The supporter asked for Afridi’s phone number and also expressed his desire to meet the veteran. The fan took to Twitter and wrote, “Lala Your Phone number … BTW I want to meet you at least once in my life.”
Even this time around, Afridi had a hilarious response up his sleeve. He replied to the fan and wrote, “12345678910.”

Afridi retired international cricket back in 2018 after representing the World XI in the match against the West Indies at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground. He was one of the greatest all-rounder Pakistan ever produced. Though he was a tad inconsistent with the bat in hand, he was a true entertainer. With his leg-breaks, Afridi churned out 541 wickets with 10 five-wicket hauls.
He last played back in March in the 2020 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). There he plied his trade for the Multan Sultans, led by Shan Masood. He didn’t perform heavily, but made sure that he chipped in with useful shows. Prior to that, he was a part of the Dhaka Platoon, captained by Mashrafe Mortaza, in the Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
