The Jaffna Kings had a poor outing with the bat in the previous match against the Galle Titans and suffered a significant loss. B-Love Kandy won both their league games against the Jaffna Kings, which will make the side confident in this game.

In their last game against Dambulla Aura, B-Love Kandy suffered a close 20-run defeat. In that game, the standout performer for BLK was Dinesh Chandimal, who scored an impressive 50 runs off 46 balls. He was well-supported by Angelo Mathews, who scored 26 runs off 15 balls. In the bowling department, Nuwan Pradeep impressed with three wickets to put up a fight, but unfortunately, it wasn't enough to secure a victory.

On the other hand, Jaffna Kings played their last game against Galle Titans and suffered a disappointing 7-wicket defeat. Dunith Wellalage played a responsible innings of 22 runs off 31 balls, trying to anchor the innings, but it wasn't enough to secure a competitive total.
