Yuvraj Singh will possibly walk at the Wankhede Stadium in this IPL season as a player of Mumbai Indians. Yuvraj has been on the receiving end while playing in Mumbai over the last two decades while playing Domestic Cricket of in the IPL. Their history began way back in 2001 when he struck a brilliant 135 during the Ranji Trophy Quarter-Final to guide Punjab to a victory against the hosts.

Things got ugly in 2005 when Yuvraj reacted to the personal abuses directed at home by one of the fans. Yuvraj had a verbal altercation with a fan on his way back to the pavilion after registering a low score. In his first IPL game at this venue in 2008, Yuvraj led the Kings XI Punjab to a 1-run win over the Mumbai Indians led by Sachin Tendulkar.

The all-rounder celebrated the win aggressively after the home crowd booed him and the Indian players in the KXIP. The crowd went as far as calling Deepika Padukone as his sister, who was Yuvraj’s girlfriend back then. “The crowds should remember there are players from Punjab who play for India,” Yuvraj reminded the crowd after the victory. Even the Brabourne Stadium crowd during the 2010 IPL teased the left-hander.
