Ace India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin received the unfortunate news of the passing away of his grandfather S Narayanasamy. As per the reports in the DNA India, the news about the death of S Narayanasamy was confirmed by some of the sources close to the family of Ravichandran Ashwin.

Ashwin’s grandfather died at the age of 92 years in Chennai on Saturday, May 27. The last rites of Ashwin’s grandfather were performed on Sunday (May 28) in the city. S Narayanasamy was a former employee at the Southern Railways on the Indian Railway.

Ashwin is currently with the Indian national team in England preparing for the upcoming edition of the Champions Trophy. He would want to excel in the tournament and that would well be a fitting homage for his departed grandfather.
