'Gulab Jamuns stuffed on each side of your mouth' - Yuvraj Singh funnily replies to Rohit Sharma's post
Yuvi was quick to take a funny dig at Hitman.
In the latest turn of events surrounding sports honours, Indian ace batsman Rohit Sharma was awarded Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award while pacer Ishant Sharma was conferred with prestigious Arjuna Award. Rohit became the 4th person from Men in Blue to have been conferred with the highest sporting honour of the nation. Before him, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, recently retired legendary captain MS Dhoni, and the current skipper of the team Virat Kohli have been presented with this honour.
Along with Rohit and Ishant Sharma, some others from various sports have been conferred with the honours, and all of them are set to receive it through a virtual ceremony to be taken place on 29th August. In the cricket world, women’s team all-rounder Deepti Sharma has also been conferred with Arjuna Award.
After the Mumbai Indians skipper was awarded the honour, he posted a video on his Instagram to pay gratitude to fans and well-wishers for their constant support.
While his video was decent in all sense, he looked his usual self with chubby cheeks and this excited hitter Yuvraj Singh to take a funny dig on batsman’s post. He wrote on his post, “It’s amazing how u can talk while keeping gulab jamuns stuffed on each side of your mouth.” Yuvraj also tagged Sharma’s wife in the same comment and it earned over 6000 likes.
All hail the Hitman Rohit Sharma
The limited-overs vice-captain was an absolute stunner during ICC World Cup 2019 where he became the first-ever batsman to score five tons in a single edition of the ODI World Cup. Even though India got knocked out of the mega event during the semi-finals stage, the batsman amassed a total of 648 runs in 9 innings. He helped Men in Blue to get through during several troubling situations amid the World Cup journey.
He continued to be phenomenal throughout the year as he produced 1490 runs from his bat that included 7 centuries. Currently, the Mumbai Indians skipper is in UAE with his squad to get going for the upcoming big T20 league. Under the captaincy of Mumbai lad, the team will be eyeing their 5th IPL trophy this season.
