Harbhajan Singh-Geeta Basra wedding reception in pics: Cricketer Harbhajan Singh, who got married on Oct 29, 2015, hosted his wedding reception in the national capital on Nov 1, 2015. It turned out to be a star studded affair.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi graced the occasion amidst heavy security.

Former PM Manmohan Singh, cricketers MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Kapil Dev, Anil Kumble, Virender Sehwag, Kapil Dev and former Punjab Director General of Police KPS Gill graced the high-profile wedding reception of off-spinner Harbhajan Singh at the Taj Hotel in New Delhi.

Also present at the reception were Indian cricketers Murali Vijay, Cheteshwar Pujara, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane and his wife, Ravichandran Ashwin and his father, Team India Director Ravi Shastri and Indian Premier League Commissioner and Congress MP Rajeev Shukla and his wife.

Besides out-of-favour Yuvraj Singh and India Test captain Virat Kohli, Bollywood celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra were on the guest list. Interestingly, Yuvraj has taken a break from his Ranji Trophy duties with his stateside to attend Harbhajan’s reception at the capital. Virender Sehwag also graced the auspicious occasion.

It was a star-studded ceremony in the national capital which was attended by more than 1,000 guests.

Harbhajan tied the nuptial knot with long-time girlfriend Geeta Basra in a Gurudwara in Jalandhar on Thursday. The wedding was attended by some close relatives and friends, including cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar and wife Anjali.

Earlier, a Mehendi and sangeet ceremony were also held at 35-year-old Harbhajan’s family home.

Harbhajan and Geeta, who has acted in several Hindi and Punjabi films, had five years of courtship before they took the marital plunge.
