Harbhajan Singh reveals why he slapped Sreesanth

One of the biggest ever controversies in the Indian Premier League (IPL) history is when the Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh slapped S Sreesanth after the IPL match between Kings XI Punjab and Mumbai Indians.

Speaking to India TV in the Aap Ki Adalat show, Harbhajan said that he was sorry for what had happened and he is embarrassed about it as well. He feels that he shouldn’t have done it.

“Usne nautanki bahot kar di actually. Wo meri galti thi jo harkat ki maine ground pe, I have said in many interviews that there are many things which I have done wrong in my life and I have learnt from them. That incident with Sreesanth is one where I was wrong. I am embarrassed about it as well.”

“But he started crying as if I had slapped him very hard. That was not the case. But that was one incident where everybody will say that I was wrong. I will say again that I am sorry and I shouldn’t have done it,” Harbhajan said.

During the show, Harbhajan also talked about many other controversies like the monkey gate and also revealed that his wife Geeta Basra is pregnant. He also praised Anil Kumble who is currently the head coach for the Indian national team.
