Harbhajan Singh to visit Bahrain to take part in Shahid Afridi's foundation
Bhajji is excited to meet his friend.
Harbhajan Singh, the out of favour Indian off-spinner is all set to visit Bahrain to be a part of Shahid Afridi‘s ‘HopeNotout’ foundation. The relations between Indian and Pakistani cricketers are very good despite the things not going so well between the boards and governments of both the countries. The political tensions have led to India not playing Pakistan in the bilateral series and only face them in the ICC events.
But the players from both teams are always seen in friendly conversations off the field when recently Shoaib Malik was seen laughing with Virat Kohli after the final of ICC Champions Trophy. Everybody knows the fact that Kohli and Mohammad Amir share a special bonding as the former had a gifted his bat to the latter as a token of appreciation. Even Mahi had clicked pictures with Azhar Ali‘s children on request which the Pakistani batsman had revealed later on Twitter.
Shahid Afridi looking forward to meet Bhajji
Harbhajan himself revealed the news that he will be travelling to Bahrain on October 26 at Gulf Hotel Convention Centre to meet the former Pakistan cricketer. Afridi manages a charitable organization called ‘Shahid Afridi Foundation’ (SAF) with a slogan ‘Hope Not out’ and raises funds for the poor. Bhajji posted a video on Twitter and appealed to his fans to join him in Bahrain. He also expressed his excitement to meet his friend Shahid Afridi.
He captioned the video as, “Looking forward to be part of my friend @SAfridiOfficial s foundation to raise funds for #HopeNotout let’s all come together to help others.” However, the former skipper of his country was also quick in his reply and said that he was looking forward to meet him as well. Afridi’s reply read, “C u soon.Tks” The duo which has won so many matches for their respective countries is now winning the hearts by doing this social cause.
