Cricketers wish PV Sindhu on her birthday
Harbhajan Singh, Virender Sehwag and Mithali Raj wished the Badminton star.
Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh took to his Twitter account to wish Indian badminton player PV Sindhu on her birthday. Sindhu, who made India proud by becoming the first Indian woman to clinch an Olympic silver medal in the 2016 Rio Olympics, turned 22 today.
Popularly known as the ‘Turbanator’, Harbhajan decided to make the current world number 5’s day special with a heart-warming tweet. In his message, the Mumbai Indians bowler termed PV Sindhu as a true inspiration for all and mentioned that the nation is proud to have her as a child. “His tweet read A true inspiration and someone we are so proud of. Wishing you a very Happy Birthday @Pvsindhu1! Have a fantastic one.” Indian women’s team captain Mithali Raj also came up with a tweet on Sindhu’s birthday labelling her as the badminton queen.
It was a wonderful gesture from the senior cricketer and shows his respect towards fellow sports stars. Harbhajan Singh celebrated his birthday two days ago on 3rd July and received a beautiful tweet from Indian skipper Virat Kohli on the occasion. Kohli was on a break from social media platforms but he became out of the closet to wish the legendary off-spinner. Not only did Kohli wish Bhajji, but he received wishes from all over the world including the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Suresh Raina, Neha Dhupia, Irfan Pathan, Mitchell McClenaghan, Ajinkya Rahane, Ishant Sharma, Yuvraj Singh, Riteish Deshmukh and many others.
Alongside the Turbanator, Virender Sehwag and the Indian women’s cricket team skipper Mithali Raj also wished the Badminton star, “Happy Birthday @Pvsindhu1 , a legend and an inspiration already for so many. May the future be even brighter. #SabkoJodeySindhu” tweeted Sehwag. “Happy Birthday #BadmintonQueen @Pvsindhu1 !! Have a great year ahead!!” wished the Indian women’s team skipper.
