Hardik Pandya's lookalike background dancer during rapper Doja Cat's show leaves netizens curious
Pandya is currently leading GT in IPL 2022.
After being released by the five-time champions Mumbai Indians, star all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been leading the new franchise Gujarat Titans from the front with both his bat as well as leadership skills. GT currently occupy the top spot having registered five wins from six matches so far.
While Hardik is in the form of his life in the ongoing IPL 2022, the latest image that went viral on social media left many viewers puzzled which made them wonder whether the all-rounder was performing with the American rapper Doja Cat on a stage show during an international function.
Background dancer’s striking resemblance to Hardik Pandya becomes an instant hit on social media
Doja Cat recently performed at the Coachella Music Festival but, all eyes were on the background dancer who went on to become a social media sensation in no time. The dancer who was Doja Cat’s co-artist during the performance completely resembled Hardik and this is what grabbed the attention of the Indian cricket fans. In fact, one of the Twitterati also felt that the artist was indeed the Baroda cricketer.
While the background dancer looks similar to Hardik, he is certainly not the GT skipper. As of now, there is no clarity about who this artist is and what is his name.
Coming back to the younger Pandya’s IPL 2022 performances, he has so far amassed 228 runs from five matches averaging 76 and an outstanding strike rate of 136.53 including two half-centuries. He has also managed to create an impression in the wickets column to some extent having registered four scalps at an average of 35 and an economy rate of 7.57.
The Indian all-rounder missed the last match against the defending champions Chennai Super Kings due to an injury and Rashid Khan was named the stand-in captain for that clash which Gujarat won by three wickets. The 28-year-old would be hoping to make amends when GT face the Kolkata Knight Riders in their next encounter on April 23 at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
