Haris Rauf will break the record of the fastest ball: Lahore Qalandars CEO
The right arm pacer has been clocking 150 kph on a consistent basis
The Lahore Qalandars launched its player development programme way back in 2016. However, the gems they’ve been unearthing has been absolutely splendid. CEO Atif Rana and DCO Aaqib Javed have together done some phenomenal work in shaping up youngsters and giving them a platform to showcase their talent.
The 23-year-old Haris Rauf is the latest young sensation as a result of the same. In the recent Abu Dhabi T20 final, he successfully defended 19 runs in the last over against reputed hitters like Chris Morris and Albie Morkel. Ever since then, his name is being discussed across social media. He may well debut for the Lahore Qalandars in the upcoming Pakistan Super League next year.

The youngster has earned words of praises from everyone around him. Hawksberry Cricket Club even gave him a contract during his visit to Australia alongside the Lahore Qalandars. Coming from a humble background, this seems like a dream coming true for Rauf. The right arm pacer has been clocking 150 kph on a consistent basis.
“The time is not far. Haris Rauf will soon be able to break the record of the fastest ball ever bowled. Albie Morkel also praised his yorker by saying that he faced a ball like this after a long time.” CEO Atif Rana stated.
Alongside Atif Rana, even former Pakistan bowler and Lahore coach Aaqib Javed lauded the young pacer. Both felt that Shoaib Akhtar‘s fastest delivery was under serious threat. According to them, Haris Rauf possessed all the potential to be a world class speedster.
“Haris is a future superstar. I’m very confident that he can break Shoaib Akhtar’s record of fastest bowling. He has the potential and ability to become the world’s fastest bowler,” Javed had told earlier in an interview.
