Hasan Ali mocks Sachith Pathirana during the first T20I
Hasan Ali once again scalped three wickets and continued his rich vein of form.
Pakistan continued to humiliate Sri Lanka in the shortest format and rolled them over in the first T20I by 7 wickets on Thursday. Once again the visitors looked a pale shadow of themselves as they capitulated to a paltry total of 102 runs. The bowlers in the Green jersey rocked the visitors by picking the wickets in hurry. However, the funniest moment in the match came during the 13th over when Hasan Ali mocked the Sri Lankan batsman Sachith Pathirana.
Sri Lankan was on the mat after losing their top order within first 10 overs and the lower order batsmen were just looking to consolidate. During the second ball of the 13th over of the innings, Hasan bowled a back of a length delivery which Pathirana looked to cut. However, he missed the ball to time properly and the ball was untraceable for him. It was right at his feet even as Pathirana kept looking for it everywhere.
The bowler in the meantime made his fun by acting for a caught and bowled chance and picked the ball near his feet. There were smiles as the moment was enjoyed by everyone around. But the batsman was co-incidentally dismissed caught and bowled on the very next delivery. The visitors continued to stumble on their way to another low total and could not pose any challenge ahead of the rampant Pakistani side.

Shoaib Malik shines with the bat yet again
Shoaib Malik has become the vital cog in the Pakistan line-up as far as limited overs format is concerned. Chasing a meagre total of 103 runs, they were in a spot of bother after losing a couple of early wickets, most importantly in-form Babar Azam was dismissed. But the veteran Malik strode out to the middle and weathered the spin bowling from Sri Lanka for a while. Soon, he started to unwind his strokes and made sure there was no way back for the opposition. He remained unbeaten on 42 along with Mohammad Hafeez and sealed the game in the 18th over.
