England’s batting sensation Haseeb Hameed has expressed his happiness after meeting Indian skipper Virat Kohli. Kohli quickly dropped in to meet the 19-year-old after the culmination of the 3rd Test at Mohali. India registered a comfortable at Mohali and went up 2-0 in the 5 match contest. However, it was the teenager, who won the hearts of the cricket fans with his show of commitment to his team. The right-hander scored a patient half-century playing with a broken finger and gained the respect of everyone including Kohli & Co.

While he managed to survive that game, the English management later revealed the details of the negative scan results and announced the Lancashire batting star will have to leave the team and head back to home. He earlier posted a tweet expressing his disappointment about this fact.

Haseeb Hameed wrote, “Disappointing to leave the tour in this fashion but it’s been another incredible experience. Thank you to both sets of fans for the support.”

He also added, “Will be watching with great interest knowing the lads will be giving it their all to level this series. See you all soon!”

However, Haseeb Hameed will return to India to cheer his team post his surgery for the remaining two Tests.which will be played at Mumbai, beginning from December 8 and in Chennai from December 20. The 19-year-old will undergo surgery in England, where a plate will be inserted in his little finger in between the two broken areas there. After the surgery, Hameed will rest over the weekend and then hop on a plane to Mumbai.

Meanwhile, Durham batsman Keaton Jennings, who top-scored in the last County season has been called up as Hameed’s replacement. If picked for the Mumbai Test as an opener, England skipper Alastair will yet again have a new opening partner.
