The Mohammed Shami-Hasin Jahan saga has been doing the round for quite a while. Following revelations of new developments, the matter has turned murkier. Jahan has previously hurled allegations at her hubby for getting involved in match-fixing scandals, extra-marital affairs, domestic violence, and death threats. The Kolkata Police along with the Committee of Administrators (CoA) has been trying their hearts out in investigating the issue.
Following the allegations, Shami’s annual contract for the Indian team has been withheld by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). To make things worse, Shami’s participation for the Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League (IPL) has also gone under the clouds. In an interesting turn of events, Jahan has recently claimed to have called Sourav Ganguly in a recent interaction with the media.
“He hasn’t contacted me”- Jahan
“I called Sourav sir before I posted the issue on Facebook. I told him that I am in such kind of trouble and Shami has been treating me in a very wrong way. He is asking for a divorce. Sourav sir said that he will give me a call next week. Till today, I am waiting for him to call. He hasn’t contacted me since then. I think he refrained thinking that the matter was a domestic issue,” Hasin Jahan was quoted as saying by ABP News.
As per reports, a four-member team of the BCCI was in Kolkata to investigate the matter. However, Jahan mentioned that she wasn’t aware, but praised the Lalbazar Chowk Police Station for helping her out throughout the difficult phase. “I don’t know about any BCCI team. I was called at Lal Bazaar Chowk Police station. My father was also there with me. A team questioned me at the police station. I have no idea if any BCCI official was there with the team,” Jahan added.
