MS Dhoni finished it off in style for the Chennai Super Kings with his blistering batting performance in the last over of the contest against arch-rivals Mumbai Indians on April 21. The veteran stumper clobbered Jaydev Unadkat for two fours and a six to get the job done for the defending champions.

Meanwhile, CSK batting coach Michael Hussey has explained how Dhoni strategises and what all calculations go on his mind during such tense chases. At the same time, Hussey has also said that the 2011 World Cup-winning skipper does not panic even if the required run rate goes up as he is confident of targeting a particular bowler in such a scenario.

MS Dhoni is like don’t worry: Michael Hussey

“MS is probably an interesting one because he is someone that is very calculative out in the middle. I mean we are having conversations with him in the middle and I will be starting to panic a bit because the net run rate is going up and although I have got to hit he will be like don’t worry they are still going to bowl this guy, he won’t know where to bowl to you I can take this guy and he is calculating all the way till the end”, said Mike Hussey in a video posted by CSK.

“How many times has he won the game in the last over? But, he has had it all mapped out. Everyone’s a bit different with how they like to go about it”, he added.

MS Dhoni might not be the CSK captain any more but it seems that he does have a lot to offer with his game and strategies on the cricket field. Apart from adding finishing touches for the four-time champions, the Ranchi cricketer had also come out with a masterstroke to dismiss MI’s middle-order talisman, Kieron Pollard.

Dhoni would once again be expected to fire on all cylinders in Chennai’s next game against Punjab Kings on at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on April 25.
