Due to the outbreak of coronavirus, the situation across the world has been quite tense in the last few months. The life-threatening virus has caused a global crisis and people are suggested to stay indoors in such trying times. More than 2.7 lakh people have succumbed to death so far and the pandemic has wreaked havoc across the world.

Along with human existence, COVID-19 outbreak has halted the sporting scenario in the world. All major tournaments and series have been called off in the wake of the pandemic. Amid this quarantine period, cricketers are left with no choice but to spend their idle time on Instagram or Twitter. Rohit Sharma is one of those players who has notched up his social media activity during this period.

The swashbuckling opener has interacted with many players including Kevin Pietersen, Jasprit Bumrah and Yuvraj Singh via Instagram live session. His recent guest in the live session was Australian opener, David Warner. The duo discussed a varied range of topics on Instagram live. The duo also recollected moments while playing for their respective IPL franchises– Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Warner-Rohit duo recalls its moments with Shikhar Dhawan

One common factor between Rohit and Warner is that both the players have opened with Shikhar Dhawan in their career. While Rohit has partnered Dhawan in the Indian national side, Warner has opened with Dhawan for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

According to Rohit, Dhawan is sometimes annoying as he is not attentive on the field. Rohit revealed that Dhawan often misses listening to his gameplan as the left-hander is too busy in his own thoughts. Warner also revealed that Dhawan always tries to run a single on the last ball of the over.

Furthermore, Rohit revealed that Dhawan has the habit of taking a couple of steps after contacting the ball with his bat. That leads to a lot of confusion for Rohit. Hence, Rohit has now adapted to Dhawan’s habit and the right-hander only sprints for a run after seeing that the ball has been hit in the gap.
