Asia Cup 2023: Highest Team Totals in Asia Cup History

The 16th edition of the Asia Cup is all set to begin on August 31 as six teams are all set to go against each other in the battle for Asian supremacy. After months of controversy in finalising the venue for the continental championship, the tournament is all set to be co-hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka with the defending champions to host 10 games while four games will be played in Pakistan.

The teams have been divided into two groups with India, Pakistan, and Nepal being in Group A while defending champions Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh in Group B. The top two teams from both groups will further progress to the Super 4 stage and the top two teams from the Super 4 will play the final.

In the 39-year-long history of the tournament, several teams have recorded humongous totals and have brought the opposition under pressure. Pakistan hold the record for the highest total in the ODI format of the Asia Cup as they scored 385/7 against Bangladesh in Dambulla in the 2010 edition. India hold the second spot with a score of 374/7 vs Hong Kong in Karachi during the 2008 edition. Sri Lanka take the third spot having a total of 357/9 to their name against Bangladesh in Lahore during the 2008 edition.

In the T20I format, the Men in Blue take the first spot with their humongous total of 212/2 against Afghanistan in the 2022 edition. Pakistan take the second spot with a score of 193/2 against Hong Kong in Sharjah in the second edition. India once again appear in the third spot with a score of 192/2 against Hong Kong in the 2022 edition.
